Aikido Aishinkan, Goshominami Dojo is an Aikido-exclusive dojo located right near the Kyoto Imperial Palace, the center of Kyoto city. With a convenient 3-minute walk from Marutamachi subway station, it attracts members not only from Kyoto but also from other parts of Kyoto.

The dojo offers various classes, allowing busy individuals to continue practicing at a time that suits their schedule.Furthermore, there are numerous classes (20 hours per week) available for people of all ages and skill levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners.

The dojo leader is always committed to creating an environment where members can easily practice.Looking ahead, there are plans to enhance the training environment at Kyoto Goshominami Dojo.

Class Schedule

Kyoto Goshominami Dojo offers numerous training sessions, allowing practice every day except for Tuesdays.For those who wish to engage in frequent practice, it becomes a highly fulfilling dojo.Various classes are available, and exclusive sessions for members, such as ukemi (receiving techniques) reinforcement training and ken-tanto (sword and knife) study sessions, are also conducted.

■ Kids Class: For elementary school students from 1st to 6th grade. General members (middle school students to adults) are also welcome. Parent-child participation is allowed.

■ Normal Class: Training is conducted by grouping participants based on their level and needs, ranging from beginners to dan holders.

■ Basic Class: Relaxed fundamental training for beginners.

■ Advanced Class: This class is for individuals aiming for Shodan (first-degree black belt) or higher. Recommended for participants with a rank of 3rd kyu or above.

  • Basic and Normal classes are open to participants of all levels, from beginners to dan holders. Trial participation is available.
  • Trial participation is not available for the Advanced class; it is primarily for observation. Experienced dan holders can join for a trial.
  • Middle school students and above can participate in the Basic and Normal classes.
  • Training is available in one-hour increments, and the fee remains the same whether attending for one or two hours.
